Who God Says You Are
A direct identity page for readers shaped more by wounds and voices than by Scripture.
If you let pain tell you who you are, it will preach a small and distorted sermon over your life; some names on your life came from family, fear, failure, or old sin. They keep trying to sound permanent. God calls his people chosen, beloved, forgiven, holy, and sent.

"You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation." 1 Peter 2:9
Trade the labels you borrowed from wounds, family history, fear, failure, and old sin for what God has actually said, allowing truth to rename what no longer belongs on your life. The truest word over you is not the harshest one. It is the one God speaks.
Let Scripture name you before your history does
Most people carry names they were never meant to keep: failure, addict, disappointment, weak, unwanted, too much, not enough. Some came from other people. Some came from consequences. Some came from years of repeating the same sin. The problem is not merely that those labels hurt. The deeper problem is that they begin directing decisions as though they were permanent truth.
The New Testament repeatedly speaks to believers in identity language: adopted, forgiven, chosen, reconciled, made new, a child of God. Those words do not erase responsibility or pretend the past never happened. They establish which voice gets final authority. Christian identity is not positive self-talk. It is receiving what Christ has accomplished and learning to live from that reality instead of continuing to introduce yourself by what Jesus came to redeem.
Put it into practice
- Write down the label you most often use against yourself.
- Find the specific Scripture that answers that label instead of using a vague affirmation.
- Make one decision today that agrees with what God says rather than with the old name.
